 Tarea for 11-17-10 due 11-19-10

Conjuguemos for home work you need to complete activity number 28 for 100 attempts! This activity can be found under Spanish verbs. Spanish verbs is found on the far left side of the page if you are looking at your computer. Under the heading of ACTIVITIES, between new Portuguese verbs and Spanish vocab (by book) Activity number 28 is found at the very bottom of the page! Remember you only have to do activity 28 not 29 or 30!

As you do this activity remember what we learned today in class. Positive attached negative before. This will apply to the verbs that are reflexive like cepillarse. Remember where and what reflexive pronouns need to be used. Also be aware that these activity will ask you to do negative tú commands so for example the negative tú command for the verb hablar would be no hables and the negative tú form for the verb cepillarse would be no te cepilles    Positive attached negative before! Do your best and come to class with tons of questions!

28. TU COMMANDS Verb List
29. Ud. COMMANDS Verb List
30. Nosotros COMMANDS Verb List

Please print the chart from the link below and bring to class for Friday!

This chart will be very valuable to you as you learn the commands in Spanish! I would print several copies of this spread sheet and have them with you as you come to class.

Negative tú commands
To tell someone what not to do, use a negative command. To form negative tú commands, drop the -o of the present-tense yo form and add:
• -es for -ar verbs.
usar uso: No uses el microondas.
• -as for -er and -ir verbs.
encender enciendo: No enciendas el horno.
añadir añado: No añadas demasiada sal.
poner pongo: No pongas los camarones en la sartén todavía.
Verbs ending in -car, -gar, or -zar have spelling changes: c changes to qu, g changes to gu, and z changes to c.
picar pico: No piques los tomates.
pagar pago: No pagues demasiado.
empezar empiezo: No empieces a cocinar ahora.
These verbs have irregular negative tú commands:
dar no des ir no vayas
estar no estés ser no seas
Remember that pronouns are attached to affirmative commands. If the pronoun is added to a command form that has two or more syllables, write an accent mark on the syllable stressed in the present tense.
— ¿Pico las cebollas?
—Sí, pícalas.
With negative commands, pronouns always go right before the conjugated verb.
